THE STORY OF ST ALBAN

Two performances at 5.00pm and 7.00pm


The concert is the result of an exciting new education outreach initiative by St Albans Choral Society to give performing opportunities to primary school children in St Albans and London Colney.


The choir has commissioned a new work, The Story of St Alban, from composer Liz Lane and librettist, Andy Rashleigh, specifically written for a special chorus of children from Bowsmansgreen, Fleetville and St Bernadette's schools, St Albans Choral Society, professional baritone Michael Bundy and an accompanying ensemble to perform in the fabulous acoustic of the Weston Auditorium, University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield.

We regret that we have had to cancel our Concert, scheduled for Saturday 8 July at Weston Auditorium, University of Hertfordshire (UH).

Health and Safety regulations, only just disclosed to us, prevent our staging the production.

The cancellation is a great disappointment to the Choir and the singers from Beaumont School who have all been practising for some time. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to all who had been looking forward to participating in and listening to the performance. Full refunds will be provided by UH to all those who have already bought tickets.
